A particularly attractive guitar by the respected British luthier David Whiteman. In David's own words regarding the Simplicio model:
'Over the past few years I've had a number of Simplicio guitars in the workshop, and during 2024/25 I have made working drawings of 3 of my favourites.
Francisco Simplicio was trained by Enrique Garcia and is regarded as one of the finest makers of the Barcelona school.
I am now making a series of guitars that in my head I am calling ' Simplicio re-imagined'. They follow the drawings and notes that I made and the decorative details are inspired by Simplicio's work."
This guitar is just over a year old and despite being played quite a lot, it is in very fine condition. There are only the smallest of players marks and button scuffs.
Sound wise, it lives up to its billing with a full brilliant, yet warm sound pallet. There seems to be no weak notes anywhere! It is easy to play with a lower action than most. It is a spectacular guitar to look at, the satinwood patterns shimmering in the light and many smaller tasteful wood working details to admire.
The new guitars are priced from £4500 depending on exact specification.
Comes with a hard case.
