Jochen Röthel was born in 1969 and grew up as the son of a cabinet maker in Kitzingen, a city in the northern part of Bavaria, Germany. His participated at a Guitar Builders Workshop conducted by Josè Luis Romanillos 1992 in Cordoba Spain. After he completed his training as a guitar maker and received his Masters Degree as Luthier in Guitar in 1997, Röthel moved to Oldenburg Germany, where he established his workshop.

We met Jochen in Denmark in 2003 and Maestoso Music has been lucky enough to receive a number of exquisite instruments over the years. This guitar was sold by us in 2005. It is like a modern Hauser with a very low body pitch on F, a super clear sweet treble and an open round bass.

The workmanship is really as good as it gets. The appearance is simple yet elegant and the inside is a cathedral of woodworking perfection.

Since 2005 Jochen has become famous and his guitars now demand a high price new £11,000.

We ask a modest price due to the age and numerous small indents and players marks to the top. These can only be seen when viewing at an angle. Otherwise the guitar is in fine condition.
