This guitar is made by Paulino Bernabé Senior (1932-2007) from Madrid. Bernabe is considered to be among the rare elite of classical guitar makers. His guitars have been played by many recording artists including Yepes and are admired for their powerful, clear and sustaining sound. Paulino started as a guitar player and studied with Daniel Fortea.
This guitar is in good condition for its year with no cracks or major scratch marks. There are the normal players marks as to be expected and signs of polish ware in patches. The instrument has obviously been well cared over the years and there is no reason for it not to continue being a fine concert guitar and investment. Some modern players like carbon strings on these guitars and they do sound huge with this set up! However, it is also very powetrful and sweet with standard nylon strings. The construction is Paulino's fan grid early wood lattice system. There is full original PB documentation. Must be viewed....
