This guitar was made by the legendary luthier Miguel Rodriguez in his now famous workshop at 15 Alfaros St in Cordoba, Spain in 1954.
Rodriguez (1888-1975) was a player in his youth and this shows in his instruments which are so comfortable to play. His instruments are famous for their explosive brilliant crystal sound.
This guitar was originally owned by the player Maya Marote. In the case there is a letter dated 1996 with a bill of sale to the present owner in London.
The condition of this guitar is frankly incredible. Obviously the instrument has never seen a flamenco tavern and has been kept with great care by both owners. The only marks are indents from coat buttons to the back. No cracks evident even with lights inside. It is obvious that the guitar has been re-fretted as they have so much meat on them!
So, a chance to own a fine musical instrument and a rare collectors piece. It is so light and a joy to hold and actually just to look at! Then the guitar sound as good as it looks. I have a full set of pictures available.
Value is difficult! Offers please? The guitar was valued in 2012. Playing the guitar in person is prefferable to appreciate this beauty! Otherwise sound clips can be sent. Contact via WhatsApp welcome. SALE REDUCED from £13995 to £12500
