Tom and Peter Petersen (1981)

Tom and Peter Petersen (1981)

Harald Petersen from Denmark moved to England in the 1950’s. He became well known building guitars for Len Williams in the Spanish Guitar Centre London. John Williams played Peterson guitars and you can get a good idea of the sound world Harald sadly died in 1969 but his sons Tom and Peter carried on construction well into the 1980’s and this guitar is one of those. It is a model A using the fine woods and described as a ‘Concert Guitar’. The machines are model replacements that work well.

This guitar is in exceptionally clean condition, the best I have seen for a guitar of this age. I suspect it has been little played and spent most of the forty years in the case. So a rare chance to have a virtually new Petersen.

A joy to play such a musical instrument.
