A fine example from this ever popular master British luthier Stephen Hill. Now based in Granada Spain, this guitar was built as No.087 named 'La Perla'. It was built in his Lewes workshop England in the winter of 2000.
The quality of woods are are first class. The Swiss top was actually bought from Jose Romanillos. The neck is South American cedar and the bridge is Rio. The machines are handmade by Rogers and the receipt for these are in the the case, probably worth £500 on their own. The original detailed description of the guitar written by Stephen is also present as presented to the guitars single owner from new.
There are very few standard minor nail marks to the top (ask for close ups) but otherwise the instrument is in exceptional condition. Four years ago, Stephen Hill gave the instrument a service and so it plays as new. He repaired a hairline crack that can't be seen. The sound is typically warm, clear and solid with fine projection. Being 24 years old, the guitar has mature depth of tone and the amber polish has become golden.
