Heikku Rousu is a much respected Swedish luthier, having made 450 instruments. He follows in the line of other Scandanavian makers such as Georg Bolin, who firstly built alto guitars for Goran Sollscher. Goran went on to make his famous Bach recordings for Deutsche Grammophon.
This alto 11 string guitar is #163 from 2009. It has had two owners and is in mint condition. The strings are tuned treble to bass: g d b f c G F E D B A - perfect for Baroque lute repertoire.
The instrument is beautifully crafted and a joy to hold and play, with a deep resonant tone and clear bell like trebles. It has the option to amplify through a duel channel K&K pre-amp included.
The guitar comes with a fitted hard case.
