'Ramirez', perhaps the most famous family name in guitar lutherie from Madrid Spain. For many years, the 1A model made by Jose has been considered a pinnacle of Spanish guitar construction, immortalized by Andres Segovia. This guitar does not disappoint. The scale length of 650mm (many flamenco guitars are 660 or 664) and the traditional 'peg head' make this guitar desirable. The pegs work very well which is not always the case.
The flamenco 1A model is quick and responsive due to its light weight and delicate strutting. The Cypress wood gives that dry flamenco sound as well as smelling so wonderful even after 34 years!
This particular guitar is in good condition with hardly any sign of use. There is a repaired crack to the top made many years ago. Having examined inside with a long mirror, there are three pleats holding the repair firmly. The sound is not compromised in any way. The asking price reflects the crack. All in all, a well cared for example with a long life ahead.
The price is realistic as many are advertised well beyond the £4k mark.
With original hard Hiscox 'light' case in good condition.
£2250.00
