Harald Petersen 'C' (1964)
JUST SOLD One owner from new, bought from the Spanish Guitar Centre London where it was made! This guitar is in exceptional condition for 1964 and plays wonderfully well. Just minor nail marks and indents with some dull polish patches. I have not seen a better one....
Harald Peterson from Denmark moved to England in the 1950’s. He became well known building guitars for Len Williams in the Spanish Guitar Centre London. Son John Williams played Peterson guitars and you can get a good idea of the sound world https://youtu.be/oEfFbuT3I6A. Harald sadly died in 1969. It a top ‘C’ model using the best quality woods and described as a ‘Concert Guitar’.
Without doubt, this guitar has a wonderfully mature spruce Hauser like tone and it is especially easy to play and responds with low tension strings. The neck and action are spot on and do not seem to have ever moved. There is a repaired crack from many years ago on the bottom and is totally stable. Frets re-crowned and original saddle replaced by us. A joy to play such a musical instrument. A fine guitar at an affordable price.
