Marin Monetero (2007)

Marín Montero was born in Granada in 1933. He has been making guitars in Granada near the Alhambra Palace all his life. Montero is justly recognised as one very best modern luthiers. His guitars are light weight with an explosive, exciting sound, yet amazingly sweet trebles. This guitar is typical and a joy to play.

This guitar comes with provenance from the last (second) owner since 2010. This includes an insurance valuation at that time and a full appraisal from Earl Marsh with diagrams of the construction.

The condition is good for a 2007 guitar. No cracks or major scars. There are various minor/button marks and indents and polish fades as to be expected. The frets are in good condition and have been re-dressed here.

These guitars are collectable and desirable due to the long waiting list from Marin Montero.

'The fame of Antonio Marín has reached the five continents, specially Europe, EE. UU. and Japan. The most prestigious performers and teachers have visited his workshop. Despite the time he spend working in his workbench, he only makes a few number of guitars per year.'

The guitar will come with the original Spanish traditional hard case in good condition.
