JUST SOLD Marin Montero, born 1933 is now considered one of the very best luthiers from the Granada region of Spain. His guitars have inspired further generations of guitar makers, seeking that Spanish sound so typical of his lightly constructed guitars.
Due to Marin's semi retirement, it is unlikely to get a new guitar - but this one really is the next best thing. The guitar has been part of a collection and very little played and can honestly be described 'as new'. It is a top 'Bouchet' model with beautiful Brazilian rosewood so hard to get legally these days. The spruce top is of the finest quality.
This guitar has a profound, deep, sweet yet explosive sound and responds to any touch with a wide pallet of colours. The long term owner, who purchased a number of guitars direct from Marin, had this classical guitar set up as a fusion classical/flamenco guitar with a very low action and golpe fitted. We have had the action put back to a standard classical height but the original saddle will come with the guitar as well. The golpe plates are pristine and have protected the top in mint condition.
Must be seen and tried. Exceptional example.
Comes with original high quality leather style case in mint condition.
