Rohan Lowe (2000)

Rohan Lowe (2000)

Originally born is Malta, Rohan built his first guitar in 1993. He began playing guitar age 19 and 'fell in love with it' according to his full biography https://www.loweguitars.co.uk/biography/

In 1995 Rohan shared a workshop with Stephen Hill in Lewes, East Sussex. It is here that this beautiful sounding guitar was built. It is a model 10 based on the Antonio de Torres SE 83 (1885).

The attention to detail in the construction is exceptional, with stunning woods and a very elegant rosette. I personally visited Rohan at this time and he told to me that his work was inspired by the English maker Simon Ambridge. I can confirm that this is indeed the sound world achieved here with a bell like clarity in the trebles and a firm open bass and purity in all registers.

The condition is very good for a 23 year old instrument. There are no cracks or large unsightly scratches. There are a number of minor indents. I have pictures of these. There is a protective 'golpe' plate, that has saved nail damage to the top but no flamenco has been played. One Alessi button is slightly bent inwards but works perfectly well.

I strongly recommend coming and trying this very musical guitar.

A one owner guitar from new with paper work. It comes with a hard case in good usable condition. REDUCED - no offers please £1995.
